It’s peel season! Bring the peel home with our simple yet oh-so-effective AHA Resurfacing Peel Kit—and transform your skin in just four weekly applications.
We spoke with Rain Hoffman, founder of Your Skin Prescription Spa in Sewickley, PA, to get her advice on making the most of these results-driven products.
Step 1: Cleanse
Massage Glycolic Citrus Cleanser onto face, neck and décolleté for one minute. Rinse well with warm water and pat dry.
This can be used as a daily cleanser for normal to oily skin, says Rain. “The glycolic acid in this cleanser helps to gently promote cell turnover, which leaves your skin less congested and brighter.”
Step 2: Prep
Saturate a cotton round with GlycoSolution 5%. Using an upward and outward direction, apply to the face, neck and décolleté. Do not rinse.
“You’ll feel a slight tingling reaction, which is normal,” says Rain. “Be gentle. There’s no need to scrub the skin harshly.”
Step 3: Peel
Use the included fan brush to apply a generous layer of the AHA Resurfacing Peel onto face, neck and décolleté. Let sit for up to 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with warm water and pat dry.
“Everyone’s skin is different and some skin is a little more sensitive,” says Rain. If the tingle becomes uncomfortable (above a 4 or 5 on the pain scale), rinse with cool water immediately.
Step 4: Mist
Mist the face, neck and décolleté with 3 to 4 spritzes of Moisture Mist.
Store in the fridge for an immediate cooling sensation. “This mist is one of my favorites and feels so soothing and cooling!” says Rain. “It helps bring back the moisture barrier and ease the tingle from the peel.”
Step 5: Nourish
Massage a pea-size amount of Topical C over face, neck and décolleté.
“This is an intense moisturizer that helps maintain your skin barrier after your peel,” says Rain.
